The Plainfield Academy although estab lished but about four years since, has al ,ready attained a high and extended rep utation, while its excellent Principal, Prof. R. K, BURNS, has.at the kanie time secured the warmest confidence of many of our best citizens as an instructor of youth. The school is located near the village of Plainfield, about four miles West of Carlisle,—a location combining all the advantages of healthfulness, pure couatry air, facilities for harmless and invigorating recreation, and what is of - equal - imporrancefreedom from improper and demoralizing associations.
