Portland Transcript, Dec. 15 Mr. Headley is one of ihe mosi promising writers of this country, and we have here one of his best books one on which he can safe ly rest his fame. It possesses the unfatigu ing charms of perfect simplicity and truth. There is a graceful frankness pervading tho composition, which engages the interest of the reader in the author as well as in the sub ject. His rambles about Rome, Paris and London exhibit a thousand lively traits of an ingenuous nature, upon which a man of lasie will delight to linger. We predict for this a sale equal to thatof any of the authors works. New York News. The collection is one of which no author need be ashamed.
