Tbe sermon was made doubly interest ing by the presence of a tabernacle that was eiected between tbe pulpit and pews at the termtnrif of the main aisle on the south side of the chnrch. The tabernacle was put np under tbe direction ot Mr. Hays in proportion five times less than tbe tabernacle erected by Mosrs in tbe wilder ness, and which the Jews carried with them in their pilgrimage to the Holy Land. County Commissioner, John Cunning ham met with a paiuful acident last Satur day forenoon, wnile hauling wheat into bis barn adjacent to Patterson. He was seated on the wheat driving tbe team of two horses. It is down grade to tbe barn. Tbe were almost in the building when the sheaves of heat on which Mr. Cunningham sat in the front ot the wagon slipped out and fell to the ground w ith Mr. Cunningham among them. L ntortunately he fell in front of a hind wheel which struck Liui in the back just below the shoulder blade. The lock was drawn at tbe time and tbe wheels were aiming which shoved him along into the barn on tbe floor where tbe team stopped. He was severely hurt; a partof(the process of the lower jaw was broken out carrying w ith it a number of teeth; his scalp was bruised so that the blood was brought to the surface almost ready to ooze from the kiu ; the back of bis neck waa bruised ; a couple of rib were sprung loose from the back bone. A clond of witnesses were called to the stand. Rev. V. Hayes and Mr. A. H. Weidman and ryer Lyons represented the League. Lawyer Netly had the defendeot's case in hand.
