Ream was ' entered by four masked men, and over $10,000 stolen. Tb,e bank building is a two atory brick, aituated in a prominent part of town, tbe second floor being oc cupied as a dwelling by Ream's family. About 1 A. M. Ream was suddenly aroused by two masked men on either side of him seizing . bis wrists,' while two others atood at tbe foot of the bed with revolvers. Ream was ordered to accompany three ot tlitm to the vault, tbe fourth remaining to prevent an alarm being given by Mean's wife. On reaching tbe vault Ream was or dered to unlock the docr,aod tbe theives took $10,200 therefrom, leaving tbe gold untouched. 1 Ream was then gag god and bound to a chair. Tbe rob ber watching Mrs. Ream called, and the whole party fisd. Ream was not released until nearly daylight, his wife expecting to be killed if she gave an alarm. It is supposed one of the rob bers gained an entrance to the bouse early in the evening, and afterward ad mitted bis associate as no door were forced. From a poor girl uot far away." It is evident that whoever carried this oliild from its mother to the pia-e where it was found, mistook Stouffer's stable for Mr. Rrough's. He left it in tbe wrong pew. Mr. Rrongh lives near Mr. Siouffer, and is a very worthy min ister of the Gospel. ' The child when found was almost frozen to death, lu feet and legs were troxen.
