The Blooiufield Times of last week says: Ou Weduesday, the 2nd of Au gust, Mr. Wm. Meli, of Uye township, Ferry county, died very suddenly. He ate a hearty breakfast that morning, and about nine o'clock, as be was seated on a chair, his bouseseeper noticed him sinking, but before sLe could pet bold of biui, he fell off and was uead. He was 57 yesrs of age. He had been complainiog of not feeling well for some time, but was still up and doing some work. Ou Wednesday evening at about 8 o'clock, tbe young man having charge of J udge J uukiu's stables, found one of the horses, and a saddle and brtJIe missing. A few minutes later it was learned that tbe horse bad been seen going towards Ouncannon, rode by a lad named Jesse Msrch, a boy about ten years of age. This is not tbe boy's first attempt at dealing in stock, as only a short time previous he rode away a mule belonging to a farmer near town, but the mule was t k much for bim and threw bi rider effand returned to his master's crib. The lad evidently shonld be in the House of Refute. Since tbe above was in type, the lad has been arrested and placed in jail for other mischief, and will at the request nf his mother be sent to tbe House ol Refnge.
