Philadelphia and Reading railroad for

Everything went well until the train

the place. I guess I will leave)" and

he gained tbe door and leaped from tbe

ly, and when within twenty yards gave
him notice to stop or be wonld fire.
Smithson obeyed the order and was re
taken.
Deputy Sheriff Westbrook, noticiog
Smithson raoning out, ran to tbe rear
door of the ear, got on the steps and
fired at bim. Upon ascertaining that
the sheriff bad jimped off be ran
back into tbe car to look after tbe other
two, bat they in tbe meantime bad
reached to tbe front door and. leaped
off. Westbrook then proceeded to the
nearest station house, gave tbe alarm
and secured a squad of officers and

RASTER DaT is always the first
Sunday after the full moon which nap-

Hatch. This year the moon fulls on
the 21st of March, which also happecs
to be Sunday. Therefore Easter falls

earliest period On which it can occur.
The earliest possible date for the occur

reached. Ia 1761 and 1818 Easter fell
on the iiai uf March, but this will tot
happen again, either ia this or the fol
