The Chesapeake and Delaware Canal has this day declared a dividend of three per cent,(6 a share, par 200.) Thin ia the Unit dividend ever daciarcd from this work, which at one time experienced tbe very extremity of de pression, selling at less than $5 a share. At that price, the company bought at auc tion, about tea years ago, 500 shares be longing to the State of Pennsylvania. The market price of the same stock is now $150 so that the purchase made at Z'2,500 is now worth 75,000. We presume that, hereafter, the profits of the work will go on incrcasciSng, and that stockholders, who have bad faith and patience, will at last be rewarded.
