Extract from the London Medical Journal.
C. J. B.Willixis, M. D- F.R.S., Professor ot
Medicine in University College, London, consul
ting physi. ian to the Hospital lor Consumption,
Sec , says ; " I have prescribed the Oil in above
four hundred cases of tubeiculous disease of the
Lungs, in different stages, which have been under
my care the last two years and a half. In Ihe
large number of cases, 206 out ol 234. its use was
followed by marked, unequivocal improvement,
varying in degree in different cases, from a tem
porary retardation of the progress of Ihe disease
ind a mitination of distressing symptoms, up to
a more or less complete restoration to apparent
health.
"The effect of the Cod Liver Oil in most of
these cases was very remarkable. Even in a few
days the cough was mitigated, the expectoration
diminished in quantity and opacity, the nieht
sweats ceased, the pulse became alower, and of
better volume, and the appetite, flesh and strength
were gradually improved.
' in conclusion I repeat that the pure fresh Oil
from the Liver of the Cod is more beneficial in
the treatment nf Pulmonary Consumption than
any agent, medicinal, dietetic or regimenal, that
has yet been employed."
As we have made arrangements to pro
cure the Cod Liver Oil fresh from head
