Il fiasco dei
Sottomarini
La guerra coi sottomarini ha
; fatto fiasco ! Almeno questo é
quanto si dice dagli uomini di Sta
to. Che sia vero? Che sia falso?
Certo i tedeschi hanno riposto li
na grade fiducia nella terribile ar
ma subacquea. La caccia spieta
ta ai sottomarini si fa ogni giorno
più attiva, intensa, implacabile.
Anzi nuove invenzioni si aggiun
sero a quelle già cognite e favo
riscono la caccia. Intanto é sta
to inventato un apparecchio ra
diotelegrafico a lunga portata per
areoplani il quale assicura le co
municazioni fino a 190,000 chilo
metri di distanza. Per i velivoli
venne ancora ideata una minusco
la macchina da scrivere con carta
a rotolo che si scvolge automati
camente in modo che l'operatore
non ha da occuparsi che della ta
stiera. Invenzioni guerresche ne
abbiamo ancora parecchie. Fra
esse throneggia il siluro guidato.
Trattasi d'un siluro che parte

dra. La luce cosi potrà venire re
golata senza spegnerla del tutto.
