On Nov. 5, it will finally happen Tickets for the show go on sale today at 10 a.m. and can be pur chased at the BJC, the Penn State Downtown Theatre Center, Eisenhower Auditorium and online. Tickets are priced at $28.50, $49.50 and $59.50 for the 8 p.m. show. BJC Sales and Marketing Director Bernie Punt said he anticipates a strong ticket sale for the performance. The Trans-Siberian Orchestra now consists of two bands, one touring on the East Coast and the other on the West Coast, and is best known for its renditions of Christmas songs and elaborate concerts, which include light shows and pyrotechnics. "Every year we're always trying to beg to get on their routing and they told us it would take years, so we stayed persistent." Punt said. "It adds a little more energy to the building when we have a first-time event." Kristy Cyone, marketing man ager at the State Theatre, 130 W. College Ave., said she thinks the show will be great. "Based on how popular they are and the music they perform, I imagine it would have to be an amazing show," Cyone said. "It's great to see that being brought to our area." Annie Ignasiak has seen the orchestra play three times in her hometown and is going, once again, to see them in State College. She said she isn't a huge fan of Christmas songs but makes an exception for the Trans- Siberian Orchestra.
