Anshonoe Mills claimed in a lawsuit filed Wednesday that Holmes grabbed her face and threw the glass at her because she was sitting on a couch in the Rain Night Club's VIP section March 7. The lawsuit said the glass hit Mills on the right side of the face, cutting the woman near the eye. The four-page document also claimed Holmes and a police officer intimidated Mills so she wouldn't press charges. The Nittany Lions, who are t o. the No. 3 seed in the competition, will host the nation's No. 2 team in Oklahoma, No. 11 LSU, Maryland, Ohio Shephard State and New Hampshire. "We're pleased with who they're bringing in." Penn State coach Steve Shephard said. "We feel very confident that we can compete with anyone in the country, and our main focus is hitting routines and let the out come take care of itself." Penn State will enter regionals as an underdog, as Oklahoma and LSU garnered the Nos. 1 and 2 seeds in the competition, respectively. Despite the fact both of the schools have good gymnastics programs, Shephard is confident his team can jump them and finish in the top two. The top-two teams at each of the six regional sites qualify for the NCAA National Championships, which begin April 22 in Gainesville, Fla. Oklahoma won the Big 12 title Saturday and has an average score of 196.896, the highest in the nation. In a 2010 season full of highlights, the Sooners have surpassed 197.000 five times, including a nation-high score of 197.950 against No. 1 Alabama on March 5. LSU is coming off a fourth place finish at Saturday's SEC Championships and averages a 195.990 0.440 higher than Penn State's average. The Tigers' best meet was a 197.150 against lowa on March 12. "Both of them are very high caliber gymnastics programs, and I am sure that they are going to be very good, and we're going to have to be at the top of our game," Shephard said.
