Sulkowski, 69, died at his home Sunday. An AAU national featherweight championship in 1942, Sulkowski joined the athletic department at Penn State in 1949 as assistant boxing coach, foot ball trainer and physical education instructor. In 1950 he became the head boxing coach and in 1954 he started as wres tling trainer. Sulkowski retired from Penn State on July 1, 1983. Sulkowski was born January 26, 1920, in Pittsburgh. His wife Margret G. Guthrie passed away in 1984. The son of the late Bernard Sulkowski and Mary Kalkonski, he is survived by daughters Peggy A. Sulkowski of Springfield, Va., and Kathy S. Dillen of State College; a son, Thomas E. Sulkowski of Midlothian Va. ; a brother, Bernard S. Sulkowski; and three sisters, Henrietta Gambaro, Helen Good and Wanda S,zymczak. A veteran of World War 11, Sulkowski was a member of Our Lady of Vic tory Church, the Elks Club and the American Legion, all of State College. Sulkowski was also a member of the National Athletic Trainers Associa tion and a former president of the Eastern Athletic Training Association. Earning his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State in 1949, he returned for his Masters Degree in education in 1954. Sulkowski was a broth er at Sigma Nu Fraternity. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Koch Funeral Home Falcons' Fralic signs hefty deal SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) Offensive guard Bill Fralic ended his six-week holdout yesterday and signed a reported $2.1 million contract with the Atlan ta Falcons, who said he is expected to play in Sunday's NFL seasorkopener against the Los Angeles Rams. "Thank God. Time for football again," said Fralic, who reported to train ing camp for a physical before signing the agreement. "I'm happy with the contract; I just wish it hadn't taken so long, that's all." Caray voted to Sportscasters Hall of Fame NEW YORK (AP) Chicago Cubs sportscaster Harry Caray has been named to the American Sportscasters Association's Hall of Fame, the orga nization said yesterday. Caray, an announcer for 45 years, is the voice of the Cubs on WGN-TV and radio station WGN.
