12—The Daily Collegian Wednesday, Nov. 9, 1983 Steelers wary of resurgent Colts By ALAN ROBINSON • AP Sports Writer PITTSBURGH (AP) The Pitts burgh Steelers are well aware that the Baltimore Colts are not being called the Dolts anymore. "They simply have good people playing good football," Noll said of Sunday's opponents. "All I know is that they're tougher than hell." It took Baltimore until December to win a game last season, but now the resurgent Colts are 6-4 and just a game out of the lead in the Ameri can Conference East division. A victory Sunday over the Steel ers, whose 8-2 record is the AFC's best, would bring even more respect to a team tagged with the Dolts nickname by frustrated Nils last season. "They're a coming football team," said Steelers Coach Chuck Noll. "They're' playing very well and their running game is really doing well. Their offensive line has improved considerably." Baltimore running backs Curtis Dickey and Randy McMillan are "tough and strong," he said. Noll said an important reason for Baltimore's transition is the play of rookie offensive guard Chris Hin ton, acquired in the John Elway trade with the Denver Broncos. "He blows people out of there who aren't normally blown out of there," Noll said. Another reason is an improved kicking game with punter Rohn Stark and place kicker Raul Al legre, he said. "Their punter is out of sight and their kicker is very accurate," he said.
