Yes, the rope method not to be confused with the often forgotten rote method. This wasn’t your ordinary tie job, mind you. In typical Clint Eastwood fashion, Carroll made herself a noose and. placed it around her neck. She tied off the end of the rope to the underbottom of the upper berth of her bunk bed. “I knew I couldn’t move at that point without choking,” shesaid. “But, itwas a real pain in the neck.” 8:00 PM FREE in the neck' derailleurs Bicycles and Sports Bicycles ..: BMX ... Reems turns up for encore appearance If you have the chance take a look at the Undergraduate Student Government’s 1980-81 calendar. If you are not familiar with USG’s annual calendar it is outlined with captioned pictures of interesting things that happened last year at University Park. It’s an easy calendar to spot. It’s the one with all-those-people-most-of us-have-no-idea-who-they-are on the cover eating ice cream. Inside, you can see plenty of football and basketball pictures and shots of would be East Hall beachcombers and photos of people being foolish at thePhiPsi. lalla Hoka However, one picture USG decided to include was that of one of Spring Term’s most provocative speakers Harry Reems. A quick explanation for those clean minded people out there, Reems is best noted for his participation in the production of such pornographic movies as Bel Ami and the all-time classic, Deep Throat. These movies and many more with similar “scripts” were shown by USG last year. Remember USG did caption the pictures inside the calendar, but the student government probably didn’t have to lament too long over this one before it came to a decision. Reems’ picture, of course, is captioned, “Life has its ups and downs.” A few good lines; In Edition's search Don’t can those humorous anec dotes dumped on you during the course of another academic year. The Collegian is collecting them for In Edition, the Collegian’s weekly humor column. So, if a funny thing happens to you during your stay here at the University, please share them with the rest of the local populace by passing them along ( via telephone or campus mail) to Andy Linker or Brian Gamerman at The Daily Collegian, 126 Carnegie Building. Really Read between the pulp: it's an import • Next time you’re down at the bookstore (in between glimpses of Harry Rcems and the ice cream eaters in the USG calendar), you might want to take a close look some of the Penn State stationery available. It’s impressive. You, too, can feel important when writing home to the parental units and other acquaintances using Penn State letterheads. Just think how impressed they will be when they see you are scribbling little notes to them on sheets embossed with “The Pennsylvania State University.” Yes, you, too, can be Penn State proud. Well, not really. You see the stationery, if you look at its box closely, is made at Har vard. That’s in Massachusetts.
