Recycling center permit delayed An application for a permit to allow the Jawbone glass recycling center to remain operational has been delayed until a meeting can be scheduled with the State College Zoning Board of Appeals or an informal settlement is reached. The group was told last month to shut down because it was in violation of zoning ordinances that prohibit the storing of waste material such as glass in a residential zone. The group responded they would appeal the decision, made by Lee L Lowry, borough zoning officer, and ask for a zoning ordinance. They then realized they could ask for a “temporary use permit" to allow the land use for one year with the possibility of extending that three years, if the use was shown to be in the general welfare of the public. Last week, the group sent a letter to Lowry explaining their request Lowry said he replied that a decision on a temporary use permit would have to be made by the zoning board of appeals. At any meeting of that board, Lowry explained they could do ■liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii; | The Brothers, Pledges, and \ Little Sisters DELTA WELCOME THEIR NEW Little Sister Pledges \Nancy Allinson Sally Patchenl \Candy Atkinson Barb Riegall \Sue Douglas \ Janet Kovach iiiiiiitiiiiiitiiMiiiin/7 Debbie Wingard CLASSIFIED ADS ATHERTON contract winter and spring terms call Chuck 865 2487 or 237 6497 ADC 303 AX loudspeakers, im maculate condition, 10" woofer, 2" tweeter, almost new, s 130 00 may bargain, 237 9626 PAIR OF SMALLER Advent loudspeakers 4 wks old Ex cellent quality List Sl5O 00, a bargain at Sll5 00 Call Rick 466 7447 SUB LET TWO MAN apartment, one bedroom, furnished, utilities included Beaver Terrace call Tom 238-7652 GIBSON LES PAUL Jr 1960 Cherry $2OO 00 238 0708 ONE BEDROOM SUBLET unfurnsihed available December 15th Ten minutes from campus pets allowed call 237 0187 5 00 p m FOR SALE SIX pedigree Dachshunds, eight weeks old, partly house trained Call 230-5318 or 692 7416 LANGE "PRO" SKI boots size 11 medium, excellent condition used one season 569 95, call 865- 5431 BMW '7l R6O 5 silver, 13,000 m. . touring bags, rack, Fairing SISOO 237 7521 HIGHLY SCENTED CANDLES tor sale at very reasonable prices Good for any holiday but why wait for a holiday' 3 Also a wide variety of candle rings and accessories Zuma Candles 237 5554 CANDLE MAKING WAX for sale at S 70-ftJ and 300 lbs at s 08 a pould Pure wax at SI 33, 140 melting pcnts Zuma Candles 237 5554 PACKAGING MATERIAL FOR sale excellent for moving china etc 237 5554 VW CAMPER , 1967, 68,000 miles fine body, engine, tires, pop top, canopy, h.tch, $l5OO, 422 8267 1969 JAVELIN 2 new tires, 3 speed, stick, good gas mileage, excellent condition Call 238-8942 after 1 p m GRADUATE FEMALE DORM contract in Atherton Hall call Joyce 865 5798 GIBSON LES PAUL |umor (1948) and Gibson ES 330 (1971 ) Both in fine condition 237 6359 FANTASTIC TORINO SADDLE used only two times perfect for lumping and English riding call 237 5185 1968 RED VOLKSWAGEN ex cellent condition one car owner call 237-9615 after 5 00 p m 50 YARD LINE tickets for the Pitt game call Sally 065-5087 before Monday NITTANY DORM CONTRACT winter and spring term call Ray 865-3766 VOLVO 70 STATION WAGON low mileage 238-0285 mornings or 865-1620. 1967 FORD CUSTOM 500 condition, must sell, best offer Bob —day 865-1127, night 234-0035. 61 CADILLAC EXCELLENT condition, 64,000 miles, no dents or scratches good motor. 238-4628 after 6 00.
