Hamilton Ave., State College. The public may attend free of charge. "Esther," as yet unproduced, is a three-act play in verse which recounts the Biblical story in a modern interpretation. The reading will immediately follow the Festival of Purim, on which Jewish congregations custom arily re-read the entire story in the original Hebrew. Esther was the adopted name of -a Hebrew girl whose real name is used by an international Jewish wome n's organization, Hadassah, as a symbol of cour age. Aberg's play delves into the dilemma of the young girl who, ap Queen of Persia, must come to terms with her Jewish identity at a time when her people are f aced with extinction at the hands of the,Hitler of antiquity: Haman.
