Awaiting them 24 hours is a modern, fully-staffed dispensary and hospital. The dispensary js equipped to handle minor illnesses and in- Nries. A skin specialist, dental clinic where emergency extrac tions and special types of treat 'meat are available, and a phar macy are located in the dispen sary, Office hours at the dispen ; wiry are 8 a.m. to noon and• 1:30 to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. At other times, students may . go to the emergency room located in the hospital. The 60-bed hospital, accredited by the American Hospital Asso .-ciation, is staffed by 11 physic tans, 3 laboratory, technicians, an - X-ray technician, a • dietician,- a physical therapist and 2 assist ants. Registered nurses are on duty both in the hospital and in the emergency room, and a doc tor is on 24-hour call. Examinations by the two staff psychiatrists or the clinical psy chologist may be arranged for any student by the student or by an advisor. ALL SERVICES and medicines are provided free of charge at the health center, except when the medications are extremely un usual or expensive.. Each student is entitled to five days free care at the hospital. A charge of. $lO a day is made after that period.
