PAGE EIGHT 5 Men, Coed Disciplined By Senate SuKomrnittee Six students were penalized Tuesday by the Senate Sub-com mittee on. Discipline, Leroy S. Austin, associate dean of men, said. One woman and two male stu dents- were given penalties which will rem t erin effective until ,the end of tip spring term.for an in cident in which the coed was found after hotirs in a downtown apartment. . THE COED, a sophomore, said that she was attending a party in the apartment, Mrs.A4arion Davi son; assistant -dean of women, said. The student 'had been .re ported missing from'her residence hall. She-was placed on suspended suspension by the Sub-committee. Her escort, a freshman, received -disciplinary probation. The junior student who occu pies the apartment claimed That he did not invite the couple for a party, Austin said. The student' was placed on office probation for his part in the incident. • In the ;second case, two fresh men were placed on disciplinary probation until .the end of the spring term, Austin said, for stealing a stop sign from the intersection of Park Avenue and Shortlidge Road. A—JUNIOR WAS given a de ferred suspension wihch will be effectiverat the end of this term for giving false reasons for- not meeting ; class requirements.
