Students at the University of Pittsburgh ipund that the "Block P," similar to the Block S club at the University, was not receiv ing the nece ,nary support from the student ',iody. Consequently, the "Block P" was disbanded last year and Pitt no longer has a flashcard section. Student government groups studied the problem and decided to form a Pep Club to replace the "Block P." It was hoped that the Pep Club would revive lagging spirit at Pitt football games. The newly formed Pep Club will coordinate the activities among students, band and cheer leaders during the football games. :ft' the students do not partici pate in the Pep Club, the activi ties of the "Block P" will be re sumed by the student govern ment. First UC A Talk Scheduled Tonight The first of a series of talks' sponsored by the University Chris tian Association will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. tonight in the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel lounge. Dr. Roy Buck, professor of rural sociology. will speak on "Does Faith Prevent Inquiry?" There will be a period for questions and discussion following the speech. Refreshments will be served after the program. George Haney, president of UCA, will be moderator for the program. Discussion leaders are George Haney, Kitty Hammel, Nancy Hughes, Andrea Langen, Sandra Laboon, Doi, Maralady, Olga Seastrom, Olive Hines and Fred Six. Traffic Safety Workshops The All-State Insurance Com pany of Pittsburgh has been sup porting summer traffic safety workshops on campus for more than a decade.
