PAGE TWO LA Committee Reports Library Locks Material Many of the reference books which were said to be basic needs for the Pattee Library last year have not yet been ac quired, according to a report by the Committee on ,Library and Research of the College of Liberal Arts faculty. "Though it is gratifying to see progress in the ordering of refer ence materials, the committee . . . urges that increased attention be given by the Jibrary staff to this vital area of library holdings,” the report read. The ordering process for books and materials was anoth er of last year's shortcomings which the committee reported has not been fully remedied. The report asks for an increase in staff funds so that additional personnel may be hired in the purchasing department. It also lequesls that book or ders be made uniformly through out the year, and not just in the rush period between Nov. 15 and April 1.
