PENNSYLVANIA LaX Team This afternoon at Annapolis Coach Earnie Baer will find out just how good his 1961 la crosse team really State, which Baer calls his best team in five years of coaching, opens its 10-game schedule against National Champion Navy. Baer said yesterday this year's team is the most exciting and aggressive squad he has coached. "But," he said, "I won't predict the outcome of the game. Navy is the National Champ and they will be tough." "The boys are really pointing for this game," the Lion coach said, "and we're going down there with every intention of beating them." Penn State hasn't beaten Navy since 1919, losing 30 straight con tests to the Middies. The Lions will also be battling another los ing streak. Last year they dropped their final nine games after an opening day win over Loyola. Baer says he is hoping to sur prise Navy with a quick goal on a play called "Army." In two scrimmages the Lions have scored on this play within 20 seconds and Baer is counting on it to give the Lions a quick lead.
