NOVEMBER 16. 1960 AAH Professor To Talk Friday Martin Weinberger, distin guished viisting professor in art and architectural history, will speak at 8 p.m. Friday in the Hetzel Union assmebly room. Weinberger will lecture on “Connoisseurship and Forgery in the Fine Arts.” A recognized authority in this field Weinberger has built up a large collection of photographs and slides of forgeries over the years and will use them in his talk. He received his doctor of phil osophy degree from the Univer sity of Munich and studied for several years in England before coming to this country. He has taught in London and Edinburgh and in this country at the Univer sity of Pennsylvania and Swarth niore College. For the last 15 years he has been professor of art history at the Institute of Fine Arts, the Graduate School of Art History at New York University. He has published seven books| and more than fifty articles andj reviews in the field of Medieval. and Renaissance art. Kenneth Lawrence, Kappa Del ta Rho, was named president; David Whitsett, Phi Kappa Psi, vice president and Lester Amann, Della Upsilon, secretary-treas urer. These officers were selected on the basis of their applications and interviews. Junior IFC, an organization for fraternity pledges designed to orient them to the fraternity system, will meet once a month. Meetings will not be compulsory, Bibliography Conference Nearly 100 persons from librar ies, colleges and universities in Pennsylvania and adjacent states will meet this weekend for a con ference on bibliography. The conference is under the joint sponsorship of the depart ment of English, the University Library and the Pennsylvania State University Press.
