FEBRUARY 25. 1960 Netherlands Choir Group Enjoys Its Music Says Director de Noble If you make music without enjoying it, then it's not the right kind of music, Felix de Nobel, director of the Nether lands Chamber Choir, said Tuesday night. The choir showed that i sacred music and music with : during their performance in Schwab Auditorium. One of the members of the choir said, "We are professional singers and we are all soloists." Yet, this group of 18 soloists blended their voices in a capella singing of Dutch folk songs and dancing songs of all nationalities. l Members of the choir panto mimed some of the parts they sang, acting out everything from irate farmers to fighting cats and dogs. The language barrier was no problem as facial expressions and hand gestures revealed much of the meaning of the music. The choir began its first tour of the United States when they landed in New York on Jan. 19. They gave their first concert in Montreal on Jan. 20. In addition to the time they spend traveling, the members practice three hours every day.
