WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 1960 AIM Board To Evaluate New Ruling The Association of Inde pendent Men's executive com mittee is evaluating the Uni versity decision on transfer housing to see if the decision should be protested. Harald Sandstrom, AIM pres ident, said he was not sure that AIM would take any action on the issue. He said the AIM Board of Governors may discuss it to- The board will meet at 7 tonight in 203 Hetzel Union. Under the new ruling, men' transfer students will be required , to live in the residence halls dur-' ing their first year at the Univer sity. Transfers who belong to al fraternity, however, will be al-' lowed to move into the f aternity! house immediately. Sandstrom said he re lizes the, University must fill the Tsidence halls because of financial prob lems. He said, however, that he dislikes transfers being given an. option to live in a fraternity and' not being permitted to live down-: town except for financial reasons.
