THURSDAY. NOVEMBER 19, 1959 AIM Requires Two Meetings To Pass Dance Appropriations The Association of Independent Men Board of Governors held two meetings in a row last night in order to spend money legally. The second meeting was needed to pass an appropriation of $255 for the AIM-Leonides dance to be held on Dec. 5 in the Hetzel Union ballroom. Under the AIM Constitution any appropriation over $lOO must be passed at two consecutive meetings. The next Board of Gov-I ernors' meeting will not be until' Dec. 9—four days after the dance.' So. following the adjourn ment of the regular meeting. Harald Sandstrom, president, i called a special meeting and the $255 expenditure was passed for the second time. Then the meeting was ended. The board also approved the price of $1.50 per couple for ad mission to the dance. Music will be provided by the AIM Band. In other business the board also approved an appropriation of $35 for a skating party to be held at the Colliseum Roller Rink in the afternoon of Dec. 5. Admission to the skating party will be free to all inde pendent men and women. Second and final approval was also given to two constitutional amendments.
