PAGE EIGHT Industry Summer The choice may not be as great as it was a few months ago, but there is still a good chance students can get interesting and well-paid jobs in industry this summer. Juniors, seniors and graduate students are most often requested, but there are also positions. for freshmen, sophomores and even for members of the faculty listed in the University's Placement Ser vice files. Students from New York State may be able to find work near their home. Two department stores are of fering training programs this summer. Woodward and Lathrop in Washington, D.O , has a sum mer training program for juniors in home economics, business ad ministration, and liberal arts. Ab raham and Strauss needs juniors from the New York area for a summer executive training pro gram. Those participating will re ceive $7O per week. Those who wish to work with the U.S. government may find a position with the Forest Ser vice or the Department of In terior. The former requests freshmen, sophomores and jun iors in civil engineering or me chanical engineering. The Na tional Park Service, under the Department of Interior, needs civil engineering students as assistant engineers. Students who have completed their junior year in civil engi neering may apply for positions as senior construction inspectors with Pennsylvania's Department of Highways. Wages offered are $1.89 an hour. Laboratory positions can be found at Col nell Aeronautical Laboratory, Diamond Ordinance Fuse Laboratory where research is done for the Ordinance Corps of the Army, Riegel Paper Corp., and IL J. Heinz Co. where those accepted for employment will do laboratory analyses of tomato products. Home Life Insurance has po- II You Think You See a Santa Claus Here .*4 METZGER'S 111-115 S.
