A clockwise movement of traffic' would be created if College Ave nue were made one-way west in the future. The plans for Curtin Road are being studied along with the possibility of closing Pollock Road to vehicular traffic except for emergencies. The report suggested that Cur tin Road, both the existing sec lion and proposed extension,, !should be , designed to provide, two 10-foot lanes for traffic. Complete redesigning of cam pus roadways is not necessary to lease the traffic situation, since major traffic congestion is limit ed to four periods not more than 20 minutes each during the day. The construction of peripheral parking lots and the possibility of staggering the hours of em ployees would reduce these periodical fie-ups. In considering the proper road structure for peak campus vehicu lar traffic, figures were compiled in May 1957 by students with automatic tabulators. As a result of this vehicle count, plans ale under way to have some roads brought into line with width, 'minimum turn radius and drain age systems associated with mod ern traffic services.
