Last pear the pre-reed senior had a 259 and 259 to win and only had a 259 in the pre lims which gave him a five point lead over Pitta Hirst. Fortunately, he drew third po sition in tumbling behind Hirst. But when Hirst pulled a weak 234, Dulaney relaxed and threw his best form into what the"judges considered the toughest routines. They gave him a 92, 92, and 14 for 277—proof that he was great. Littlewood's 3.5 was tops again, but the big surprise came when Jack Hidinger tied Vince Neu hauser and Army's Bill Cohen for second with a 3.7. it IGL Pleats ALL-AROUND: I—Vega (PS) 1667. 5 (new record). 2—Werner (PR) JUL 3—Con- ningham (PS) 1492. 4--Brierd (M. 4 4.) 1177. PENNSYLVANIA DELTA CHI'S record-breaking relay team * * lied second and third places, re spectively, for the Doubtful Dol phins. At the breaststroke mark, the Dolphins began to draw close as Steve Sulzbacher scored a first with a 45.4. However, a strategic move by the Barracudas which pulled Splenda out of his usual slot of anchor man on the free style relay team, proved to be a success. He splashed in second ahead of the Dolphins' Sam Mac- Mullan. The Dolphins pulled ahead of the Barracudas in the diving as John Johnson toted an 11.5 scoring to top the Barracuda's Ted Laubach who pulled a 7.0. Down 19-17 going into the 120- yard freestyle relay, the Barra cudas once again made their move as in previous meets as the team of Barber, Rhodes, Jay Huffman and Laubach swam their way to a 1:07 clocking ind the independent championship.
