FM programs are broadcast from 7 to 11:30 p.m. every Sun day through Friday and 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturdays. WDFM will hold an open house Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the studio, 304 Sparks. The public has been invited and will be able to see a show while it is being broadcast. The station will hold a re ception .for invited guests to morrow. Shows in stereophonic sound have been broadcast this -se mester for the first time. Wilbur Lewellen, station manager, said the stereophonic -broadcasts will be continued this semester_ and additional programs may be added in the future. WDFM may be connected with unused community tele vision channels and would be able to broadcast over them. This would be possible be cause television channels use FM frequency, Lewellen ex plained. Of course, there would not be any picture, he added. The station may also be con nected to an educational net work in the future. Lewellen said that the station would be heard in about six states in the northeastern U.S. Lewellen explained the du _ ties of the staffs of the station. The production staff controls the technical part of the pro trams while they are on the air. The music staff writes the scripts for classical music pro grams and the continuity staff writes spot announcements for use between shows.
