SATURDAY. DECEMBER 1 Cutler to Talk at Chapel For Christmas Service The Rev. Donald Cutler, chaplain pastor of St. Andrew's l Episcopal Church, will be the" speaker at the Protestant ser vice of worship at 9 a.m, tomorrow in the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel. The combined voices of two meditation chapel choirs will sing as the anthem, "Beside Thy Cradle" by Johann Bach. Xmas Music To Highlight Worship The annual University chapel Christmas service of worship at 10:55 a.m. tomorrow in,schwab _will feature several musical selec tions from tonight's Candlelight Service. The service will include a ser mon on "The Sign of God's Mer cy" by the Rev. Preston N. Wil liams, assistant University chap lain. The Chapel Choir, directed by Willa Taylor, and the Meditation Chapel Choirs, directed by James W. Beach, will be accompanied by George Ceiga, University or ganist, and members of the Blue Band and the Symphony Orches tra in the musical parts of the service. _ Three original compositions by Ceiga will be presented in the service. They include a chorale prelude, "Break Forth 9 Beau teous Heavenly Light"; an offer tory for organ and instrumental group, "The Three Kings"; and an anthem for the combined choirs and instrumentalists, "Antiphonal Anthem for Christmas." Other compositions included in the service will be "0 Come All Ye Faithful," "Hosanna to the Son of David," "To Us is Born Em manuel," "Come and Thank Him," "Wake, Awake, for Night is Fly ing," "The Three Kings," and "Brightest and Best." The doors to Schwab will open one-half hour before the service. Lion's Den Trial Hours Will End This Weekend The Lion's Den will be open until 12:15 tonight and tomorrow night. Snack bar services will end st midnight. This is the last weekend the hours will be extended on a trial basis. The report on the success of the later hours will be given sometime next week, Louis A. The pageant, which will be held at the United Church of Christ, is open to the public. The Episcopal Student Group, the Canterbury, will hear Father Clarence C. Reimer, rector of St. John's Church in Bellefonte, at 6 p.m. tomorrow. The rector will speak on "Christmas." Preceding this program will be an evening prayer at 5 p.m. and a supper at 5:30 p.m. The W e s 1 e y Foundation will have a Christmas communion service at 6:15 p.m. tomorrow. Following the communion will be a carol sing at-7:30 p.m. The members of the Presbyter ian University Fellowship will carol to shut-ins and invalids to- I morrow night. The group will meet at 6:20 at the Student Center and will re turn to the center for refresh ments after caroling. The Newman-Club will hold a Communion Breakfast at the State College Hotel following the 9 a.m. mass in Schwab. Dr. Joseph H. Dahmus, profes sor of medieval history, will be the speaker at the breakfast. Masses will be said at 8, 9:30 and 11 tomorrow morning in the Our Lady of Victory Church. A mass at 9 a.m. tomorrow will also be said in Schwab. Father Ream's discussion group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday. The B'nai B'rith Hillel Founda tion will hold its annual stunt night at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the foundation center, 224 Locust Lane. The members of Phi Sigma Sig ma sorority will be the hostesses at a Lox and Bagel Brunch at II a.m, tomorrow. Hannukkah songs will be sung at the brunch. Hillel will present Dr. Marvin Fox, associate professor of phil osophy at Ohio State University, as a speaker at a Hillel lecture at 8 p.m. Monday. PENNSYLVANIA Forecaster Predicts Snow Tomorrow More than two inches will fall before the weekend is over. ac cording to Joel Myers, Collegian forecaster. The cold wave which has kept temperatures below 25 degrees for the past week will continue for several more days. Air descend ing from the Arctic is the reason for the low temperatures ? Myers said. Students may expect to see snow flurries today and to come in contact with 18-degree gusts. The temperature will dip to five, degrees tonight. Yesterday's temperature ranged between 9 and 12 degrees, which was a slight rise over Thursday. Southern parts of the nation are experiencing unusual changes in the weather. The Carolinas and Virginia have had as much as 15 inches of snow. An Atlantic storm, which is causing the abnormal weather, influenced temperatures to drop below freezing yesterday as far south as northern Florida and snow to fall over parts of Alabama and Georgia. In addition to a new 4-inch snow which covered Oswego, N.Y., Thursday the city experienced a snowfall of six and one-half feet.
