Five of the University entries were grand champions and two wet e reserve grand champions. Grand and iee,erve grand championships awarded to Uni versity beef cattle were: Grand champion Shorthorn bull; grand champion Polled Hereford female; grand cham pion steer of the show; grand champion group of three steers: reserve grand champion bull of the Angus show and reserve grand champion female of the Angus show. The grand champion lamb, a Baran Awe wether, was shown by Univer,ity shepherd, Carroll Shaffner, University anunals were also awarded eight championships and five reserve championships. Student Operated On For Acute Appendicitis John Parks, junior in education from Tunkannock, underwent an appendectomy in the Centre County Hospital last evening. Parks; who first went to the University Hospital and returned home at 1:30 p.m., was admitted to the hospital at t; p.m. He was suffering from acute appendicitis. He was reported in good con dition following the operation.
