The question of age is pertinent to the value of the course, he said. •If the plan were made elec tive, "spoon feeding," a common complaint among tli e faculty, members, Feldstein said, would I be reduced. •The mature veteran would be able to pick out a practical sport, to learn or study and one which would be able to benefit him later in life. Feldstein refuted two assump tions which are used for support of the present plan. He said "boot" camp provides the veteran with a physical training and a health education program which Is much more complete than the I.lniversity's program. Therefore the veter ans can be assumed to be phys fealty fit. he said. He refuted the point that the physical education program de velops skills of lasting benefit by saying that the interest in a sport would be greatly increased if the program were elective. "Spoon feeding" the students with the knowledge and skills of sports would be eliminated with' veterans under an elective sys-' tem, Feldstein said. THE DAILY COLLEGIAN STATE COLLEGE.
