GeorgetownNettersßlast Lions, But Jacobs Wins Georgetown's powerful tennis team gave the Penn State netters an unfriendly welcome to the nation's capital yester day by smashing the Lions, 8-1. Dick Jacobs was the only victor. The Hoyas, one of the top teams in record including today's win, now have put the pressure on the Lion netters' hopes for a winning sea son. Now 4-5, they must win their remaining two matches against Navy today and Pitt on Friday. Georgetown entered the Nit tany Valley lest year laden with sophomores and handed the Nittanies a 6-3 defeat. Yester day another young team was shown off. including three jun iors who faced the Lions last year and two sophomores. Dick Jacobs offered the only bright spot for the Lions as he rallied to overcome a 1-6 first set loss to win the last two sets from Junior Pete Coleman, 7-5, 6-3. Chuck Questa, playing his sec ond match at the number one spot, was impressive in dropping his test to Dick Razzetti, Raz zetti, a sophomore playing first man, is a fine example of the Hoyas' young crop of, netters, Captain Fred Trust lost to Pete 'King, 4-6. 6-2, 1-6, in the number two match. After a fine comeback second set, Trust pulled a groin muscle which handicapped him in the decid ing set. Charlie Bibleheimer gave a somewhat puzzling performance that has been characteristic of many Lion matches this year by winning the middle set with a 6-0 shutout, but yet dropping the other two sets by' extreme 2-6. 1-6 scores. Roth Penn State's first year var sity players, Gene Flick and Mel Royer, lost their matches to jun iors Ed Shapiro and Pete Cogan. respectively. Trust and Questa lost the first doubles match by default after Trust couldn't continue because of his injury. The Lion duo had won the first set, 104, and dropped the second, 0-6.
