College Avenue Mr. Howard Palmer President r Religion and Politics -- Primaries Next Week Never mix religion and politics! How often have you heard that right•sounding but wrong expression? Life is not neatly com partmentalized—one section for citizenship in a kingdom of the world and another for citizenship in the kingdom of God. Life in volves the total personality which is Christian not only in church, but also in business and in politics or it isn't Christian at all. God's people are called to be agents of His design in this world. Religion must be mixed with politics lest words like honor, justice and loyalty become obsolete characterisitcs of past generations. The Church as such should never be identified with a particular political party or form of government. The Church stands above all parties and governments pointing out God's purpose in history and God's will beyond history. Every Christian is involved in this responsibility, the accomplishment of which necessitates the mixing of religion and politics. 1 rili t s Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church Fairmount Ave. and Frazier St Rev.
