Hamil ton, managing editor o fthe Richmond, Va., News-Leader, will be guest speakers at the Pennsylvania Press Conference Fi iday and Saturday in the N Prexy to Be Initiated By AlphoKapPsi Preqident Eric A Walker will be initiated into Alpha Kappa Psi, professional society in business adminktration at 7 tonight in the Autoport Restaurant. Walker will give brief remarks at the annual dinner meeting. He will attend the annual pic nic of the Committee on Inter national Understanding at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at a Tussey Mountain cabin. Walker will be guest speaker Thursday night for the annual dinner and election of officers of the Retired Staff Club. The din ner will begin at 6:30 in the Auto port Restaurant and the speech will begin at approximately 7:45. The annual two-day Pennsyl vania News Conference will open officially Friday with wel come remarks by Walker at 11:45 a.m. in the Nittany Lion Inn. The conference will be spon sored by the Pennsylvania Society of Newspaper Editors, the Penn sylvania Newspaper Publishers Association and the School of Journalism. Thirty Initiated By Angel Flight Thirty coeds have been initiated into Angel Flight. They were selected from 150 applicants and chosen on the basis of their interest, appearance and personality by a board of flight advisers, members of Arnold Air Society and officers of Angel Flight. Theater Group To Give Play Five O'Clock Theatre will pre sent its final production of the semester at 5 p.m. today when it stages "Society for the Preven tion of Dateless Nights." The play, a 1-act comedy, was written by Robert Shiarella, jun ior in arts and letters from New Kensington. It attempts to an swer a pertinent question of the time and provide guidance for the male segment of the student body. Featured in the cast are Joseph Servello, junior in art education, from Altoona, and Ivan Ladizin sky, sophomore in arts and let ters from State College. The production is being directed by Marvin Katz, sophomore in arts and letters from Drexel Hill. Walker will welcome the newspapermen and women. and Hamilton will speak on "Some Aspects of Clear Writing." "What's Wrong with Today's Newspapers and What Can Be Done About It," will be the theme of talks at 2p m. Friday. Ruby will discuss "The Gallup Poll Re veals Major Changes Necessary." Discussions will be held on chan ges in health, education, business and religious news. A service awards dinner will be held at 6 p.m. Friday. H. Eu gene Goodwin, head of the School of Journalism. will pre sent the awards. G. A. Harsh man, president and editor of the Sharon- Herald, will speak on "How's Your Status Quo?" The annual meeting of the Uni ted Press Editors of Pennsylvania will be held at 10 a.m., and the Penr.sylvania Society of News paper Editors will meet at 4 p.m. Friday. Saturday's program will include speeches and panel discussions. Alumni Group Memberships Graduating seniors may obtain Alumni Association memberships all this week at a special desk set up in the Hetzel Union Building. The desk is situated across from the auditorium. Special rates are being offered graduating seniors if they join the Alumni Association on or before Commencement Day.
