PAGE EIGHT sth Graders Camp At Stone Valley The sth grade of the College Township school at Lemont is at tending a school camp for elemen tary school children at the civil engineering camp in Stone Valley this week. More than 50 6th-grade children from the Buchanan Elementary School and the 7th Ward School in Lewistown will participate in the second encampment which will begin Monday. The final program, beginning May 19, will bring 61h graders from the Chief Logan School near Burnham to the camp. The camp idea, now in wide use in some states, was started as an experiment three years ago when school children from Williamsport and Athens spent a week in Stone Valley. The camp is conducted by Herman C. Kranzer, assistant profecsor of education and Dr. Fred M. Coombs, professor of physical education and head of the recreation education pro gram, in cooperation with var i^us school officials.
