PAGE TWO FINALISTS IN the Queen of Hearts tournament struggle to get in and out of floppy clothes quickly in a suitcase race, held last night on the intramural field. He-Man, Queen Tests Finished Last Night Muscular He-Men finalists pitted brawn against brawn on a grueling course of four events while coed finalists in the Queen of Hearts tournament competed in dressing from a suitcase after the float parade last night on the intramural field of the golf course. The five men with the highest number of combined points will receive over-all Spring Week points for their sponsor groups. The names of the Ile•Man winner and winner of the Queen of Ilearts contest for coeds will be kept secret until they are awarded trophies on Awards Night Thurs day. Last night's finalists were Ted Steinman, Zeta Beta Tau; Ted Lerch, Theta Xi; Raymond Pot ties, Theta Delta Chi; Robert El der, Sigma Alpha Epsilon; Thom as Edward, Delta Upsilon; Robert Brewer, Sigma Nu; Chester Pio trowski, Sigma Phi Epsilon; Frank Lombardo, Tau Kappa Epsilon; Francis Palone, Theta Chi; Ben jamin Amato, Alpha Phi Delta. The fiat two events were for the 100 yard dash and the shot put. The third event was a steeple chase over a quarter-mile obsta cle course. The He-Men took the last event lying down, It was a bench press, a weight lifting event where con testants lie ori their back on a bench and lift weights off a f i ame. The Queen of Hearts tourna ment was held at the same time as the He-Man Eight two-girl teams qualified for the finals. Each girl clashed 30 yards to a suitcase, struggled into the cum bersome clothes and returned to Applications Deadline Set For Skull and Bones The deadline for Skull and Bones hat society's applications is noon tomorrow. The Hetzel Union trial at the Bell Telephone exhibit ended Thursday and the word around campus is that the 2-day proceed ings sounded like a Dave Beck investigation. The most frequently spoken phrase sounded like the famous fifth amendment. Most of the students who were lucky enough to win free long distance calls warned the party on the other end of the line, "Don't say any thing, there are 26 others listen ing " One coed called her father in Harrisburg and got her uncle. The first thing the uncle said was, "Why'd you call? Did you get married?" When the crowd roared their approval the uncle con tinued, "Where are you, in a beer garden?" So it went. Student upon stu dent invoked the fifth amend ment, on the eagerly listening 'crowd. The verdict is in and the vote is unanimous. Other people's conversations are the "greatest." PiLamPhi Property To Be Inspected The Board of View appointed' by the Centre County Court will inspect the P.H. Gentzel property, which includes the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity, at 10 a.m. May 16 as a preliminary step in condem nation proceedings. The State College Parking Au thority also was told that a tenta tive date for a report by the 3- man board to the court has been set for May 26. As a second step by the board, a formal hearing, at which time witnesses for Gentzel and the authority may appear, will be scheduled sometime between the inspection date and the report time.
