It's been 11 years since Cor nell has beaten a Penn State crew and 30 years since the Big Red has beaten the Lions on their home grounds. The clos est the New York school came to victory at Penn State in That 30-year period was in 1934 when they managed to claim a 3-16 stalemate. As is usually the case when Charlie Speidel is involved, Penn State's starting lineup is- still in doubt. Don Jonas and_ Bob Wasko sparked the Sinkers to their fifth win •as they scored 22 and lZ points respectively. This was the Sinkers first win of the new semester and marked the third time they have gone over the 50 point mark. Two one point victories sparked the Greek loop activities. Delta Tau Delta defeated Pi Kappa Alpha, 29-28, and Phi Sigma Del ta, edged Delta Chi. 13-12. In the only' other fraternity game.
