A motorcade of kings will form at the Jordan Fertility parking lot at 7:30 p.m. Friday and wind around the Nittany-Pollack area and the new dorms, ending up at Recreation Hall. The Mardi Gras carnival, spon sored by Mortar Board,. senior wo men's hat society, will begin when the parade arrives at Recreation Hall at 8 p.m. and will continue until 11 p.m. Twenty - five sororities, the Freshman Council and Leonides have entered a - car in, the par ade and will sponsor booths .in the carnival. A rotating trophy will be awarded to the group with the most tickets in open booth and closed booth cate gories. Each group will receive 50 points for entering the par ade. The cost of admission to the carnival is 15 cents and tickets Ifor the booths will cost 10 cents :each. Each penny equals one point :in : the judging. One of the five finilists in the Ipenny voting will be chosen King (by a system of ticket voting .at the "Mardi Brawl." Each student who attends the dance can drop his ticket stub in one of the five finalist's boxes. - Tickets will be available at the Hazel Union desk. at the door or fr o m members of Chimes. The price of a ticket is 65 cents. Students may attend in couples or stag. The Mardi Brawl process - will I go to a Chimes "floating" welfare fund set up to provide for scholar ships or some other worthy cause. A portrait at bill coleman's of "course Condition Of Sharp Stays Same George "Larry" Sharp, of Drex el Hill, who broke his neck Oct_ 11 on a trampoline in Recreation Hall, still remains in a "guarded" condition in Geisinger Memorial Hospital, Danville. Sharp, who has been paralyzed from the neck down since the accident, has officially withdrawn from the University. He was a second semester freshman in the division of counseling. Dr. Alfred H. Greiss, of the University Health Center. who re ceives reports on Sharp's condition every other day, said the student will remain in the Danville hospi tal for at least five or six more weeks. His injury is listed as a "fracture-dislocation ,of the sev enth cervical vertebra in the neck." Greiss said Sharp is not under going any special treatment as doctors are waiting to see whether the spinal cord function will re turn. When Sharp is released fro'm the hospital, Greiss said he will probably be taken to one of the state's rehabilitation centers. The student was injured during a physical education class. He was p r a c t icing sommersaults when he fell into the middle of the trampoline. Student Involved In $l4OO Collision Damage totaling $l4OO resulted when the cars of a student and a professor collided at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at College Avenue and Bainard Street. State College'police are investi gating the collision between the vehicles of James Caldwell, senior in meteorology from Punxsutaw ney, and Wayne Webb, professor of physics.
