Mrs. R. Mae Sh Itz, assistant dean of women, attributed the increased interest to the stress of the importance of stu- dent government ma e e by the counselors to the new students during Orientation Week. Suzanne Smith, WSGA presi dent, using posters for illustra tion, discussed the purpose and activities of each of the WSGA committees. The committees are the WSGA impli mentation committee, the committee for the student hand book sponsored by _WSGA, pub licity committee, the Intercolle giate Association of Women Stu dents committee and Freshman Tea committee. Women may sign up for the commitees from noo today to noon Saturday at the etzel Un ion desk. Screening o the appli cants will take place later. Constitution Altered: By HomeEc Group The Home Economics Student Council Tuesday night adopted' a new constitution, with but three changes from its old constitution. The name of the group was changed from the Home Econom ics College Council, the All-Uni versity average for representa tives was raised from a 2.0 to a 12.3 and the All-University average for the president to a 2.4.
