PAGE EIGHT Eng Sci Senior Wins EE Prize A paper presented by James Raleigh, senior in engineering science from State College, won first prize in the Middle Eastern District of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers compe tition at Villanova University. The paper was entitled, “Class room Communication System for Closed-Circuit Television Instruc tion.” Hie system was designed by Raleigh while employed as a part-time student engineer with the Instructional Research Pro gram. By winning the district compe tition, Raleigh won $25, a trip to Westinghouse Electronics and Air Arm Divisions plant in Baltimore, a trip to the summer general meetings of the institute in Mon treal and a large silver cup for the University. The cup will remain for a year at the University. If it is won twice by any college or university, it is retained permanently.
