PAGE TWO Service to Open Indie Celebration National Independent Student Association (VISA) week will officially begin with a special chapel service tomorrow at Schwab Auditorium. Rosetta Kearney, retiring Leonides president; and Lash Howes, retiring Association of Independent Men president; will participate in the service Special sections will be reserved for members of AIM and Leoni des. University to Host NSA Conference The Spring Regional Assembly of the National Student Associa tion will be held April 26. 27 and 28 at the University, with about 100 delegates from 25 member schools in Pennsylvania and West Virginia attending. The theme of the conference will be "Current Issues in Higher Education." according to Edwin Henrie, regional assembly co ordinator. It is not yet known whether the University's student govern ment will have official delegates at the conference, Henrie said. NSA Vetoed Robert Bahrenburg, former All- University Cabinet president, last month vetoed the campus NSA out of existence. Since then the organization has not been func tioning at the University. although its membership dues are paid up until next semester. Conference delegates will be housed in women's dormitories and fraternities. Since vacant rooms are not available in dormi tories the women delegates will be guests of students in their rooms. Accommodations Asked Henrie asked that women who can provide accommodations con tact Josephine Hough, 403 Mc- Elwain. Fraternities with places for delegates should contact Jay Tim bers, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Matrix Fees Due at Noon Women who have been invited to the annual Matrix Table have been asked to submit payments for the tickets by noon today to the Hetzel Union desk. Three hundred women have been invited to attend the annual banquet which will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Hetzel Union ballroom. Invitation cards must be pre sented with the ;2.75 admission payment. The Table is sponsored annually by Theta Sigma Phi. national women's professional journalism fraternity, to .honor outstanding women on campus. PENNSYLVANIA The remainder of the week will be devoted to events aimed at all independent students, according to Norman Hedding, NISA Week committee chairman. On Tuesday, an informal jam session will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hetzel Union ball room. The Warren Daugherty quintet of the AIM band will play at this affair. Blood Drive A blood drive, jointly sponsored by AIM and Alpha Zeta fraternity, will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to increase independent participation, prizes will be awarded. The first 100 independents, both men and women, to give blood will receive free tickets to one of the borough theaters. In ad dition, the men's and women's living unit which contribute the most blood will each receive $lO. The next event will be a dupli cate bridge tournament to be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the HUB cardroom. Students Eligible Any student is eligible for this tournament. Entrants may regis ter at the HUB desk until Thurs day. On Friday night, the "Carnival Time" dance will be held from 8 to 12 in the HUB ballroom. The dance will be highlighted by the crowning of the NISA queen. Finalists for the queen contest will be announced next week. NISA week will close Saturday with a Leonides-sponsored Easter seal drive. Members of Leonides will sell seals in borough theaters during the day. Chorus to Give Concert The Women's Chorus will give a guest concert at 7:30 p.m. to morrow in the Bellefonte High School. W.
