Know land (R-Calif) told the United Na tions today that 20 years of Soviet repression is the true cause of tension in Eastern Europe. Knowland, a member of the U.S. delegation, laid down a point by-point indictment of Kremlin policy in answer to a Soviet de mand that the United Nations con demn the United States for al leged subversive activity in Com munist countries. V. V. Kuznetsov, Soviet deputy foreign minister, presented a reso lution to the UN Special Political Committee, asking for the con demnation action. Similar moves have been defeated by over whelming majorities in past years. Pittsburgh Given Television Channel WASHINGTON, Feb. 25 (/P)— An agreement was reached today on the award of television channel 31 in Pitsburgh, paving the way for possible early construction of another TV station in the city. Under the agreement Telecast ing, Inc., withdraws all objections to allocation of the channel to WWSW, Inc., owned equally by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Pittsburgh Radio Supply House. Albert Woll, re signed today on the eve of a Sen ate probe into the union's affairs. Woll said he quit because legal work for the teamsters had grown too great for him to handle and still take care of other clients.
