Starbuck will serve as directors of the two European Seminars which the University Christian Association will conduct this summer. Pixton, assistant professor of history, will direct the “In- troduction to Europe Seminar July 21. I Starbuck. Evangelical and Re-, formed chaplain and an associate director of UCA, will direct the "International Relations Semi nar” to be held from June 27 to Aug. 16. The early response to these sem inars has been good, Starbuck said. Students who would like more information about these seminars may obtain it at the UCA office in the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel. Studied at Swarthmore Pixton received his bachelor of science degree from Swarthmore College, his M.S. from the Uni versity of Connecticut, and his Ph.D. from the University of Chi cago, majoring in recent Ameri can diplomatic history. During World War II he served in the Navy as a carrier-based fighter pilot and was awarded the Dis tinguished Flying Cross twice. He has had experience as a test engineer, sales engineer, and jun ior high school teacher. He be came a member of the University faculty in the fall of 1954. His ■wife, who will areompany him on the tour, has traveled widely in Europe and has had experience in work camps and with refugees and displaced persons. Studied at Yale Starbuck received his B.A. de gree from the University of Penn sylvania and his B.D. degree from Yale Divinity School. He has had experience in summer projects, including com bination study and work projects in Oregon and Chicago. He served as co-director of the European Seminar which UCA conducted last summer.
