Similar motions on a perma nent half-holiday were passed by other organizations last semester. The board also voted to crown! a sophomore queen at the "Flirta-; tion Fling." the sophomore dance tc be held March 9. Any soph omore woman is eligible and the finalists will be chosen by the board. Applause Will Decide The queen will be chosen ac cording to the amount of ap plause she receives from the students attending the dance. The board decided that cock tail dresses and suits will be prop er dress for the dance. Tickets may be obtained at the Hetzel Union desk at a later date and one person in the couple must be a University student of sophomore standing. A motorcade, in cluding finalists for the Miss Penn State and He-Man contests, sev eral University organizations and high school groups from Central Pennsylvania, will precede the coronation of Miss Penn State, Monday. April 29. Miss Penn State was crowned last year by Pamala Ulrich. Miss Pennsylvania, and Dr. Milton S. Eisenhower, former president of the University. The Spring Week carnival will be held Tuesday and the Mad Hat ter’s parade Wednesday. The two' days are interchangeable in case of rain. The music festival will take place Thursday and the week will be climaxed by the Senior Prom Friday. A large map of the world is displayed with a series of cards that indicate contacts the station [has made with all parts of the j world. These cards have been accumulated by the station in its nearly 50 years of operation. One part of the display features: ■a card mailed by a Hungarian amateur who heard the station in contact with another European station last December.
