Wagner, presi dent of the Evangelical and Re formed Church and vice president of the National Council of Churches of Christ in Jhe United States, will speak at chapel ser vices at. 10:55 a.m. Sunday in Schwab. Dr. Wagner returned three weeks ago from a five-week tour of the Far East, including Japan, Korea, Okinawa, Formosa, Hong Kong and the Philippine Islands. He will speak on "Student Life in Asia.” For the service, the Chapel Choir has chosen, the anthem. Praise Ye the Name of the Lore} by Nikolsky. George E. Ceiga, organist, will play as the prelude, Pastoral-Noel by -Karg-Elert, and as the post lude,. Christ the Lord to Us Is Born by Van Hulse. Born in Blair county, Dr. Wag ner is a graduate of Findlay Col lege and received his bachelor of divinity degree from the Evan gelical and Reformed Theological Seminary. He also has completed graduate work at Lebanon Valley College, Columbia University and Union Theological Seminary, and has been conferred honorary doc torates by Franklin and Marshall College, Ursinus College and the Reformed Theological Academy, Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Wagner served from 1922 to 1931 as pastor of St. Peter’s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lancaster. Prof Re-Named To NACA Post Dr. George F. Wislicenus, pro fessnr of aeronautical engineering and director of the Ordnance Re search Laboratory’s Garfield Tho mas Water. Tunnel, has been re appointed to the subcommittee for compressors and turbines of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. Dr. Wislicenus has served on the NACA subcommittee contin uously since 1949, making him one of its oldest members. His connection with the sub committee’s work has been made more active recently by the direct interest of the subcommittee in the hydrodynamic propulsion stu dies. *Heartbreak' Tickets Tickets for the last two Players’ performances of George Bernard Shaw’s “Heartbreak House” are on sale at the Hetzel Union desk. PENNSYLVANIA Tryouts to Begin For All Sections Of Chapel Choir Tryouts for vacancies in all sec tions of the University Chapel Choir and the auxiliary Chapel Choirs will begin Jan. 30 and con tinue through Feb. 4. Students are needed to fill va cancies in these choirs next semes ter and to form three additional choirs which will sing at services scheduled in the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Memorial Chapel. Two of these choirs will be mixed and one will be composed entirely of women. •• . ; Tryouts will be conducted by appointments which should be made by Jan. 22. Appointment schedules are available in the lobby of the Program Center of the Memorial Chapel. A brochure with detailed information con cerning the choirs will also be available.
