PAGE EIGHT 26 Fraternities Will Hold Yule Parties for Children Twenty-six fraternities will hold Christmas parties for children, according to a report given to the Interfraternity Council Monday night. Children from 19 communities in the area will attend the parties, which are co-sponsored by sororities of indepen dent women, in most cases. Santa Claus will appear at most of the parties to distribute toys or clothing to the children. - The parties, conducted under the auspices of IFC, are annual events. James Corrigan, senior in business administration from Ha zleton, is chairman of this year's program. One fraternity, Phi Kappa Tau, in cooperation with independent women, has already held a party, Dec. 8, for children from Penn sylvania Furnace. An Alpha Sig ma Phi-Kappa Alpha Theta party 'for children from Carson's Cor ner will be held today. Participating Groups 'Sports' Group To Meet, Hold Game Banquet The Outing Club will hold a winter sports division meeting tomorrow night and a Game Banquet on Sunday. The winter sports meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Hetzel Union auditorium. Participants in the game ban quet will meet at 2p.m. Sunday behind Old Main. From (here they will depart for an afternoon of skating at Beaver Dam, weather and ice conditions permitting. Dinner Follows The outing will be followed by a dinner. Game shot during the hunting season will be served at the banquet. A Christmas party will be held in the evening following the din ner. Members are to bring a 25 cent gift. To Return Sunday Participants will return by p.m. Sunday. Persons interested should sign up at the Hetzel Union desk before noon Friday. At The Winter Sport Division meeting on Thursday, the Canon and Red Horse ski trips will be discussed. Slides will be shown of last year's outings.
