PAGE EIGHT Business' Society Holds Initiation, Presents Awards Ten students were initiated in to the Business Scholarship So ciety of the College of Business Administration Tuesday night. Edmund L. Flynn, of .Bedford, a graduate of the University, ad dressed the first initiation ban quet Jane Tressler was presented the award for the outstanding senior. Elizabeth Trezise received the outstanding sophomore award and Paul Cryder received the out standing freshman award. Top ranking juniors initiated as members of the society were John Boyanowski, P a u 1 Gilpin, Joseph Jodie, Robert Jones, John .Ivladore, and Charles Moose. Graduate students initiated were Jack Conner, Thomas Brash er, Raymond Lauer, and Alice Warne. The society, organized last year, has for its purpose the encourage ment and recognition of outstand ing scholarship in the College of Business Administration and Ath letics. Not only do people wear Ber muda shorts and cut classes, they run through glass windows in the Hetzel Union Building. That's what happened Saturday evening, as a State College High School student, running to get out of the rain, ran into a west door on the Pollock road side of the HUB and through a one-quarter inch thick pane of glass. William F. Fuller, assistant manager of the Student Union, said yesterday the student evi dently didn't realize the glass was there. The student was not hurt, Ful ler said, but the glass will cost $37.50 in addition to installation costs. Sessions, open to the public, are scheduled for the Hetzel Union Building at 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Dr. Ray H. Dotterer, professor emeritus of philosophy, will speak on "Presuppositions of Responsi ble Thought" at the morning pro gram. Dr. Stephen Strassen, of Duquesne University, will discuss "Phenomenological Trends in Eu ropean Psychology" at the 2:30 p.m. session. Following the luncheon, a panel, with Dr. John A. Mourant, profes sor of philosophy, as moderator, will discuss, "The Role of Phil osophy in General Education." Panel members are Dr. Henry A. Finch, associate professor of philosophy, and Dr. John W.
