PAGE EIGHT Free Froth Day —John Logan photo SEVENTY-FIVE students living within a 10-mile radius of Altoona and one living within a 12-mile radius received free copies of Froth yesterday, The idea started when the head of the University's Altoona center banned Froth at the cen ter. Due to bad weather. Froth copies will be on sale again today at the bulletin board on the Mall, the Corner Room, the Heizel Union desk, and the corner of Shortlidge and Pollock roads. Council Passes Revision, Plans Spring Election The Mineral Industries Student Council Inst night completed re vision of its Constitution and out lined procedure for election of new members. The council also approved and sent to the Senate committee on student affairs a charter for The Prospector, M.l. student publica tion. Self-nomination for the council election, to be held March 21 and 22, will be through sheets posted at prominent places in the M I. building and will be open until Match 20 Two freshmen, two sophomores, nod three juniors will be elected Balloting will take place m the foyer of (he M 1 budding. The revised Constitution and an amendment to the Constitution weie passed by a more than two thirds vote. The amendment, pro posed bv Ptesidenl Edwin Tuck er at the group's last meeting, enables the president, with the unanimous consent of the council, to appoint a member to fill any vacancy caused by a leave of ab sence, dismissal, or resignation. The appointee will hold the post until graduation. The council will not meet until after Spring vacation, when it will elect new officers Phys-Ed Voting Will Continue Flections for officers of the Physical Education Student Coun cil will continue today. Elections began yesterdav in the physical education classes. Candidates for president are Elizabeth Elliot, Ann Farrell, and Batch Cryder. Running for vice president are Catolyn Br.ggs, Mary Conrad, Dave Wnlkins, and Rodney Mott. Candidates for secretary are Audrey Sassano, George Whiting. Virginia Lewis, and Jack Michel. Running for treasurer are Jean McMahon, John tides, Barbara Frederick, and William Spielh.
