M9l TYIP, Senate Takes Action on 2 Students The Senate Subcommittee on Discipline yesterday upheld a Tribunal ruling that a junior in business administration from Llewellyn be placed on disciplinary probation until the beginning of the spring semester 1956. The subcommittee suspended a freshman in industrial engineering from Lancas ter, effective at the end of the semester. The suspended student will have the privilege of applying for readmission in the spring se mester of next year. The student who was placed on probation was decided guilty for having a movie screen belonging to the University in his room. Tribunal was confronted with confusing and contradictory tes timony for two nights. The de fendent finally told what Tribun al members felt was the true Story about 1 a.m. Wednesday. The final decision involved two other students, who withdrew earlier this semester, one of whom is reported to have taken the screen from the Temporary Class room Building. According to Harold W. Per kins, assistant dean of men, the student who reportedly stole the screen gave it to the other stu dent who also withdrew. When the second student withdrew, he gave the screen to the student placed on disciplinary probation. The students who withdrew will not be allowed to re-enter until cleared by the dean of men's office, the subcommittee ruled. The second case, involving a freshman who was susepnded, was first heard by Tribunal, but no action was taken. The dean of men's office forwarded it to the subcommittee for action. • The student admitted stealing objects and cash valued at $48.75 about 1:30 a.m. May 1 from Alpha Chi Rho fraternity. The student, who is a minor, had been drinking beer at Alpha Chi Sigma and Alpha Chi Rho before stealing the objects, ac cording to Guy G. Mils, State College justice of the peace. - Both houses were placed on "board probation" by the Inter ;fraternity Council Board of Con trol Monday night for serving beer to minors.
